Howard E. Race

Reunited with beloved wife Mary Theresa "Terry" on December 8, 2012, at age 94. Dear brother of Marion (Michael) Muschko, Donald (Diane) Race. Brother-in-law of Howard Thiery and Raymond Thiery, both of Connecticut. Also loved by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Preceded in death by his siblings Belle Lampman-Soucor and Carlton Race.Howard was born 1918 in Rome, NY, to Estella and Homer Race. He served in the US Navy and later graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was a professional engineer and a recognized leader at Allen Bradley, where he worked for over 30 years. Howard was also very active in Milwaukee politics. He cared deeply for his faithful companions – his much loved Collie dogs. He enjoyed happy hours with Mary at their camp site and traveling in their RV.Visitation at ST. MARGARET MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 92nd and Capitol Drive, on Friday, December 14, at 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to St. Vincent De Paul, the church, or to the public library of your choice.
