Hope Marion Steldt

Passed into Eternal Life on Friday, December 12, 2014. Age 69. Born to Nelson John "Jack" Stratton and Alice McLaughlin Stratton on February 4, 1945. She resided in Milwaukee all of her childhood and graduated from Juneau High School. Hope married Russell W. Steldt in 1971. After Russell passed away, Hope moved to Northern Wisconsin with her daughter Faith, and lived for 20 years in the home built by Russell in Vilas County. During that time she went back to school at Gogebic Community College and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. After retiring she returned to Milwaukee. She recently fulfilled a lifelong dream and traveled to Great Britain, the family homeland. While there, she was able to visit England, Scotland and Cornwall. She was an active member of Wauwatosa Bible Chapel. Hope loved the Lord and wanted to share His love with everyone. She had a smile and a kind word for every person she met. All who knew her have a deep sorrow at her passing.

Hope is survived by her loving daughter Faith (Uwe) Seliger, caring sister Susan (the late Clifford) Hayden, nephews Kerry (Sharhonda) Hayden and Troy (Kellie) Hayden. Dear cousins Bonnie Vick, Nancy Katzman, David (Toni) Vick, Betsy Bohmrich, Dana Belton, Mark Belton, Paul Belton, Vicki Yurillo, Scott Belton, Amy Sowinski, Bruce Stratton, Joyce Mader, Leanne Kersten and Jean Marie Carlson. Step children Sandra Steldt and Russell R. Steldt. Step grandchildren Samantha Hochstein, Toni Steldt, Terry (Toni) Steldt and Tommy Steldt. Hope was preceded in death by parents Nelson J. and Alice M. Stratton (nee Belton), husband Russell W. Steldt, step sons Richard R. and Michael J. Steldt and step grandson Michael L. Martin.

A memorial gathering will be at LUTHER MANOR FAITH AND EDUCATION CENTER, Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM. Service will begin at 2:30 PM
