Helen passed away on September 21, 2025 surrounded by her loving nieces.
Helen was born in Hillsboro, Wisconsin on December 1, 1919 to Cynthia and Alois Sosinsky. She attended local schools and upon graduation, went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied chemistry and majored in nutrition.
She was united in marriage to James E. Grant on September 6, 1941. Their son, Thomas J. Grant, was born on February 28, 1952. Helen worked in biochemical research in Chicago, Illinois, until her husband got transferred to Milwaukee. Their son Thomas passed away on September 1, 1959. Helen returned to school and received her teaching degree. She spent eighteen years teaching in the Milwaukee Public School system.
Helen and Jim spent their winters in Brownsville, Texas, golfing and traveling extensively. Helen has traveled to all seven continents with her traveling group, Pigmania. She has even walked with penguins.
Helen was preceded in death by her son, husband, parents, nine siblings, dear friends and more. Helen is survived by one sister, Arlene Erie, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A private burial at Forest Hill Memorial Park, Oak Creek, Wisconsin will be held.
