Born to Eternal Life on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Paul A. Bird. Loving mother of Ann (the late Robert W.) Walker and Paul A. Bird, Jr. Proud grandma of Brian Walker, Lynn (Jeff) Hall and Karen (Dewey) Wunschel. Great-grandmother of Colin Hall, Kylee and Kelci Wunschel.Helen was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late George and Gertrude Calleja. She graduated from Louisiana State University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Prior to moving to Milwaukee, she retired after working 30 years for the Oak Park, Illinois elementary school system. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff, both former and present, of Linden Grove " New Berlin for all the care and kindness shown to Helen. Private family services to be held.
