Obituary
A Time to Be Born…On October 25, 1937, in Carthage, MS a bright-eyed baby girl came into the world; Hattie Laurine Hutchins to the union of loving and industrious parents, Floyd, a farmer and Virginia, a former schoolteacher.
A Time to Plant…Rooted in Christ, she and her family attended New Hope Baptist Church. She graduated from Leake County Agricultural Highschool and spent her summers working on the farm. Later, she married her first husband, Green Edward Ward and began life’s journey in Milwaukee, WI. Her only occupation in Wisconsin was as a nursing assistant for over 32 years. She was a current member of Grace Lutheran Church in Milwaukee under the leadership of Pastor James R. Huebner.
A Time to Laugh…She enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered most for her infectious laugh! She loved to travel and frequent her favorite restaurants (there was no food she did not enjoy). Memorable moments were her travels to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and the Bahamas on a cruise ship. Places she wanted to revisit, Disney World and Las Vegas.
A Time to Sleep…This is my comfort in my affliction, For Your word has given me life. Psalms 119:50…On the morning of October 26, 2024, at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa WI, she transitioned from this earthly place to be with the Lord. Her grandchildren, Latonya Buress and Antoine Ward were at her bedside. Her greatest fear was that she would not live to see all her grand and great grandchildren. One of her last precious moments, her wish was fulfilled…she saw her youngest great grandchild, baby Da’Kodis Buress.
A Time to Weep…She leaves to cherish her precious memories, daughters, Anita Ward (Leon Buress), Carolyn Ward and Evelyn Ward; son, Anthony (Christina) Ward; brothers, Andrew Hutchins, and Wesley Hutchen. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends (Brentwood Park) and her cat, Boris.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Frank Reiter, former husband Green E Ward, parents, grandparents, and her beloved son, Michael Ward.

1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
2 A time to be born, And a time to die, A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear; And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak;
8 A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.
If I could do it all over again….
~ I would spend less time thinking about the past
~ I would spend more time talking about the future
~ I would learn to trust people more
~ I would love people more
