Harvey S. Petterson

Passed away peacefully at his home on June 24, 2012, at age 100. Beloved husband of Florence (nee Miller) for 61 years. Loving father of Paul (Ines) and Chris (Judith) Petterson. Proud grandfather of Matthew, Christian and Anna Petterson. Dear brother of Renee (Don) Beatty. Also loved by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Sigurd and Anna Petterson, and three sisters. Harvey served as a Captain during WWII and graduated from Rutgers University. He went on to be CEO and President of West Allis State Bank and Southwest Bank, as well as co-founder and CEO of Bancorp of WI, Inc. He was Past President of Kiwanis Club of Milwaukee Southwest, Past Director of Kiwanis Foundation of Greater Milwaukee, Trustee and Chairman of Finance Committee of Carthage College, Past Director of Methodist Manor, and Past President of Bank Executives Club of Greater Milwaukee. Harvey was also a longtime member of Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in New Berlin. Visitation at the Funeral Home on Friday, June 29 at 4:00-6:45 PM. Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Private entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Blessed Savior Lutheran Church.
