Brother-in-law of Dorothy (Arthur) McLaughlin of Bemidji, Minnesota, Viola (the late Lester) Anderson of Warren, Minnesota, Pearl (Laverne) Adamson of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Goldie (Dennis) Jones of Flint, Michigan, Freda (Lawrence) Hemmesch of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Arvilla (Henry) Hastad of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, Phyllis Wilhelm of Thief River Falls, Minnesota and Gary (Sharon) Habedank of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. Preceded in death by his wife, Claudia E. Cole, his parents, Harry R. and Eleanor Cole, two brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Yvonne) Habedank of Thief River Falls, Minnesota and Clifford (Judy) Habedank of Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.Visitation at the Krause Funeral Home on Friday, August 14th, 3:00 – 5:00 PM. Funeral service at 5:15 PM. At Harry's request, a cremation will take place.Harry was born on September 15, 1939 in Stambaugh, Michigan and grew up in Iron River, Michigan. He entered the U.S. Navy shortly after his high school graduation in 1957 and proudly served for six years as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps in San Diego, California where he received the highest scholastic score ever attained by one of its members. He married Claudia and they moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and he worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and Nordberg Manufacturing. Harry graduated first in his class from the Milwaukee Police Department Recruit Training School in 1969 and received awards for the highest scholastic honor and the highest final exam rating. Harry worked as a Law Enforcement Officer for the Village of Shorewood, was a graduate of the FBI Academy, and retired from service in 1993.
