Was born March 29, 1922 to Charles Henry and Blanche Azalea (Eyestone) Buzzard in Altamont, IL. Glenn married Mildred (Mim) Brauer on December 18, 1948 in Altamont.Glenn proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was fond of telling "war stories" about his days as a P-38 pilot. He earned a B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Illinois in 1946, and went to work for Northwestern Mutual Life in 1947. Glenn and Mim moved to Milwaukee in 1955; he later retired from NML as the Vice President of Real Estate Investments with almost 40 years of service.Glenn served in numerous community organizations and activities. He was a board member of the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District, board member and chairman of the Seibert Foundation, board member and chairman of St. Luke's Hospital, first chairman of Aurora Health Care and a member of the Fox Point Plan Commission. He was also a long-time member of Fox Point Lutheran Church, serving on the Church council, and numerous committees.Glenn passed away on December 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mim, son John, brother Paul, Don Brauer, Ken Brauer, Ruth (Brauer) Grandt, the Rev. Robert and Eunice (Brauer) Rock and Marian (Brauer) Kesselmayer. Glenn is survived by his sons, Jim of Manakin Sabot, Virginia and Scott (Diane) of Sycamore, Illinois; his grandchildren Michael, Leigh, John Charles, Alison, Anna, Curt and Kyle; his brothers Harry and Clyde; Mary Brauer, Charlotte Brauer, Alten Grandt, the Rev. Darwood Kesselmayer as well as numerous nieces, nephews,care-giver Judith, friends and fishing buddies.Visitation Friday December 28, at FOX POINT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7510 North Santa Monica Boulevard, Milwaukee WI 53217, 9:30-11:00 AM.
