Of Muskego, Wisconsin passed away on July 15th, 2015 at age 82 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Glenn was a long time resident of Grafton, Wisconsin and most recently resided at Tudor Oaks Retirement Community in Muskego.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Joan C. Goethel (Rook), his children, Eileen (Rob) Glazier, Robert, Scott (Heidi) and Steven (Lynne). He was a proud Grandfather of seven grandchildren; Matthew, Andrew, Alec, Aaron, Sydney, Jenna and Ethan. Glenn will be further missed by his nieces and nephew, Suzanne (Joe) Moon, Sandy (Jeff Hock) Goethel, Sharon (John) Pieschek and Jim (Ann) Haase. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings Edith and William.
Glenn proudly served in the United States Army as a Sergeant in Battery C 734th AAA Battalion from 1953 to 1955. After Graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Glenn had a distinguished career for Milwaukee Public Schools as a teacher, media specialist and librarian for over 40 years.
A special thank you to Dr. James Thomas, Yee Lan Wong, the staff at Froedtert Cancer Center and Tudor Oaks Retirement Community who compassionately cared for Glenn. Glenn cherished the wonderful friendships he had with so many including his many friends at Tudor Oaks Retirement Community. We would like to thank them all for their kind thoughts and prayers.
A private burial service will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Also, a Memorial will be held on July 25, 2015 from 1:00- 5:00 PM, with service 1:30 PM at Tudor Oaks Retirement Community, S77 W12929 McShane Drive, Muskego. Memorial donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, the Tudor Oaks Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
