Age 98, passed away on March 11, 2013, at Linden Ridge in Mukwonago, WI. She was born in Fort Atkinson on December 27, 1914, to Otto A. and Edith (Matzke) Storck. Gladys graduated from Whitewater High School. She was united in marriage to Earl Spicer on March 7, 1952 at Cold Spring, Wisconsin. Gladys enjoyed playing cards, reading and discussing politics. She had been a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Brookfield for the past 40 years.
Gladys is survived by her daughters, Mary (Fred) Winchowky of Mukwonago, Patricia Spicer Blackmer of Delavan, grandsons Jamison and Jason Lamb of Janesville and a niece, Joanne Harrop of Whitewater as well as extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl, her brother Raymond, her sister Evelyn and her son-in-law Gary Blackmer.
The family would like to extend its gratitude and appreciation to the staff at the Linden Ridge Assisted Living Complex for their devoted and compassionate care of Gladys during her residency for the past 11 years. She regarded the Linden Ridge staff as her extended family. In addition, the family would also like to extend its gratitude to the staff of Hospice Advantage.
According to Gladys' wishes, funeral services will be private. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin where she will lie in rest next to her husband.
