(nee Weisenbeck) Daughter of Michael and Anna (nee Fedie) Weisenbeck. Born February 27, 1911. Died October 8, 2010. She was born and raised in the town of Maxville, Buffalo County, WI. Gertrude attended Sacred Heart Nursing School in Eau Claire, WI and completed her degree at Milwaukee County Hospital in 1934. She married George O. Nadeau in Milwaukee in 1935 and together they owned and operated Nadeau Furniture Co. at the Holton and Hadley Street address from 1940 until George passed away in 1971. Gertrude and her employee, Michael Kausch retired in 1973. Gertrude did the sewing and bookkeeping for Nadeau Furniture. She enjoyed bowling until age 91 and also playing cards and bingo. Gertrude is survived by son Robert (Carol) of Almond, WI and daughter Georgiana (Carroll Edwin) Plumb of Adell, WI; grandchildren Becky Lynn (Tim) Watrol, Edwin R. (Lisa), Steven A. and Daniel K. (Keleen M.) Plumb; great-grandchildren Erika and Eli Watrol, Andrew G., Nathan C., and twins Jarett T. and Bennett J. Plumb. She is preceded in death by her husband George and her seven brothers Mike, Phil, Rodie, Mattson, Julius, Walter and William; and seven sisters Millie, Lucy, Mary, Margaret, Helen, Adeline and Fern.Visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 14, at 4-5:45PM. Funeral Service at 6PM. Private entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
