(Nee Vassilopoulou) Passed away on October 7, 2013, at Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI, in close proximity to the area where she lived most of her life. She was 87 years old.
Georgia is lovingly remembered by her husband, Emmanouel, whom she was married to for 57 years and her beloved sister Fotini (George) Gamouras. Also remembered by her nieces and nephews: Demetra (Anthony) La Galbo, Paulina (George) Nicopoulos, Georgina, Christina, Panagioti, Efstathia, and Georgia. She was the sister of the late Yianni, Kosta and Antoni Vassilopoulos.
Georgia was born in "Kefalovriso", a small village in Greece in the southern province of Messinia in the Peloponnese. She married her loving husband Emmanouel in Greece. In April of 1968, they both came to America to start a new life together.
Georgia was always so happy to be around her nieces and nephews, and their children as well. She enjoyed many festive memories and had a contagious laugh that always made you want to smile.
