I'm pretty sure this must be the Gene that I grew up with in my early years in Sheboygan. The Gene I knew moved to Milwaukee in high school and was a track star at Washington High. I am also 75. He would stay with his grandmother on Dillingham Ave., and I think I remember his sister Jill. We would play baseball and golf together. I still think about him occasionally and when the Sheboygan guys get together we talk about him. I was sorry to hear he passed. Wes Jerving

The best Dad I could wish for during my year as an AFS student in Milwaukee. You always had so much love and concern for me, and always engaged in activities I joined at school. The best Grandpa for Vilde who loved you and trusted you from the first time she met you. Wish we could be there at the funeral.

My fondest memory of Gene was when we both were first married and there was some get together. I learned that he and I were both on the same career path of being Time-Study Engineers.
