Gary Lever

Called home to the Lord on November 11, 2010, age 64. Dear brother of Maureen (Jim) Basting. Fond uncle of Jennifer (Brad) Kimminau, Andy (Kelly) Basting and Stephanie Basting. Great-uncle of Eddie and Makena. Beloved son of the late George and Mary Lever. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Gathering at the Funeral Home November 19, 2010, from 4:30-6:15 PM. Service at 6:30 PM. Gary was born in Chicago, raised in West Allis and graduated from Nathan Hale High School. Right out of high school he joined the Navy and served on the ship Bryce Canyon. After discharge, he became a Certified Gemologist and worked as a jeweler for Rohr Jewelers in Milwaukee and Husars in West Bend. He also sold real estate, suits and finished his career at the Milwaukee Post Office. He sang at a variety of churches and was a member of the V.F.W. Post on 92nd and Beloit.
