Fred Brandenburg passed away peacefully at the Lutheran Home on June 8, 2023 at the age of 87.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rose Marie (Cesar), sons Brian (Kara) and Paul (Trudy) and grandchildren Jakob (Amanda), Derek (Joni), Katy, Annika, Tori, and Eva. Further survived by brother Kurt (Susan), special sister-in-law Aurie Murphy and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Frances, his brother Werner (Marlene), and his first wife Frances (Dolly) Balistrire.
Fred grew up on the east side of Milwaukee and attended Riverside High School, where he excelled in track. He retired from Mueller Color Plate Company after 46 years as one of their top salesmen. Fred enjoyed reading, listening to all types of music and watching the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Bucks.
Fred’s infectious smile, quick wit and humor made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Fred’s love of life, his love for his fellow man, love of nature and his strong faith will always be cherished.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the nurses and staff at the Lutheran Home, especially his favorite aide, Rachel. Thanks also to our many friends, neighbors and church family for their support during these trying times.
Gathering will be at St. Luke Catholic Church, 18000 West Greenfield Ave, Brookfield, WI on Friday, June 23rd, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, with Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
