Francis (Frank) A. Schwartz, age 79, of Milwaukee, WI, and formerly Steuben, WI, peacefully passed away on May 15, 2024. He was born on June 14, 1944.
Francis, known as Frank to his loved ones, was a dedicated Master Electrician. He spent most of his career at A.O. Smith and later at Ladish Co. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
He was a proud graduate of Pius Xi High School and held an Associate degree in Tradesman in Electrician from MATC. Frank was able to live out his life-long dream on the farm in Steuben, WI surrounded by rolling hills. He made a wonderful life in the most beautiful log cabin home and many friends in Prairie de Chein, WI. You could find him putzing around outside, in the garage, or on his tractor.
Frank’s hobbies included spending time with his family, playing golf, and enjoying the outdoors. He found joy in feeding and watching hummingbirds, gardening, and cooking – especially his famous soups and chili.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen (Lucey) Schwartz, his daughters Jessica Gagliano (son-in-law Dominic SanFelippo) and Dr. Jenna Schwartz (son-in-law Damian Simonini), granddaughters Zoe Lyles and Frances “Frankie” June Simonini, and great-granddaughter Zaila. He is also survived by his sister Marlene Melrood, brother John Schwartz, numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his mother Jennie (Orlikowski), father John W. Schwartz, brother Gerald Schwartz, and brother-in-law Paul Melrood.
In loving memory of Frank A. Schwartz a devoted father, husband, grandpa, great-grandfather, and friend whose kindness and wisdom touched the lives of many. His legacy of selflessness, love and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community, 9520 West Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Celebration of life immediately following Mass at Clifford’s Supper Club in Franklin, WI.
