Of Wauwatosa. 65 years old. Loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, friend of many, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, after a brief but fierce battle with urothelial cancer. Fran was born in Mucsi, Hungary, on January 8, 1946, to Johann and Katarina (Marz) Both. After WWII, her family was moved from Mucsi to Kassel, Germany in 1946. The family eventually came to the United States in 1952, and along with many Mucsi residents, settled in the Milwaukee area. She met Reginald Anderson while in Juneau High School, and from the first time they met, for Regi, it was all about Fran. They married on May 17, 1967 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. They had a daughter and a son. The couple lived in Wauwatosa for the last 30 years. Fran was a devoted wife and mother. Her favorite pastimes included reading loads and loads of books, crossword puzzles, caring for and walking her dogs Andy and Katie, gardening, cooking, and a good cup of coffee. She was a very hard worker and threw her considerable energy, strength, and common sense behind whatever was placed in front of her. She enjoyed working at Wal-Mart for nearly 20 years, retiring four years ago to spend time with her husband and family. Her greatest joy was in spending time helping others with projects, whether painting, wallpapering, sewing curtains, gardening, or refinishing furniture. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her mother; her beloved husband of 44 years, Reginald; two children, Franciska Jean of Oregon, Wis. and Scott (Nelly); two grandchildren, Isabella and Alexander; sisters, Emma Both, Elizabeth (Robert) Unke, and Anna (Andrew) Staudacher. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her father.Visitation at the Funeral Home, Thursday, October 13, 4:00-7:00 PM. Also visitation at ST. VINCENT PALLOTTTI, 201 North 76th Street, Milwaukee, Friday, October 14, 10:00-11:00 AM. Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Father John Scheer officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs of Froedtert Hospital Palliative Care Unit and the Cancer Center, and Horizon Hospice, particularly Maria, Jennifer, and Kim. Also, special thanks to Dr. Howard Loomis, Jr. for your help. "Death is nothing else but going home to God. The bond of love will be unbroken for all eternity." ~ Mother Teresa
