Ethel Stevens Michaelis

Ethel C. Michaelis (nee Stevens), 103, died January 15, 2023 following a stroke.

Ethel was mother of Karen. L Michaelis (Dan Giernoth), grandmother of Quinn A. Michaelis (Ernest Olivier}, great-grandmother of Jack Michaelis Olivier; beloved aunt of Bob (Delores), Jean (Don) Stevens Cunningham, Bill (Karen) and David Stevens; Patricia (Henry, deceased) Pitroski Pfaff, Marlene (Timothy) Pitroski Livieri, Ray (Peggy}, Pitroski, Gary (Geri) Pitroski, Debra (Michael, deceased) Brewer Barnett; sister-in-law Eleanor (Wendell) Stevens; nephews Dana, Peter, and David Timmer and their families as w.ell as other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Donald L., parents William J. and Marie Stevens, Brother Wendell, Sisters Melva (Walter, James) Pitroski Brewer and infant Alice Lorraine Stevens; nephews Thomas, Terry and Robert Timmer.

Ethel was born in Linden, WI and moved to Milwaukee in 1941. She was employed by Allis-Chalmers Corporate Employee Relations and Research Divisions for 42 years, retiring in 1983. Ethel attended Spencerian College, became a Certified Professional Secretary through the International Secretaries Association in 1968 as well as a Certified Compensation Professional through the American Compensation Association in 1981. She became a member of Electa Chapter O.E.S. in 1950, serving as Secretary from 1985 to 2009 and 2011.

She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on January 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Funeral service will follow at noon. Burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Eagle, Wisconsin following the funeral service.
