(nee Karst) Passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at age 89. Beloved wife of the late Norman E. Currier. Loving mother of Georgia (Robert) Brunner, Diane (Richard) Bruening, Amy (Steven) Bequest, Russell (Kristi) Currier and Sandra Currier. Proud grandma of Crystal, Christopher, Erik, Suzanne, Sarah, Raquel, Joseph, Samantha, Jesica, Jaclyn, Bryan, Jonathan, James and Tiffany. Great-grandma of many. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Erika was born and raised in Germany. In the 1950s she took a boat and was sponsored by the church to start a new life in the United States. She met Norman, her husband, at the meat packing company. They were married in 1957 and raised 5 children. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed a wonderful, prosperous life with her husband who absolutely adored her. Erika loved to dance, swim, she loved to be in the water, she loved making puzzles and adding to her many collections, especially Hummel’s, Beanie Babies, dolls, angels and dolphins. She loved listening to German music and polkas. She loved her dog, Molly. She loved decorating the house for all holidays, especially Christmas. Nothing was better than having a “fry-out” and watching movies with family.
