Passed away Mon., Sept 27, 2010, at the age of 92. He was born July 22, 1918, in Milwaukee, WI, to Elmer and Martha (nee Zahn) Knutson. Elmer served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. "Once a Marine always a Marine Semper Fi". Elmer was in the Carpenter Brotherhood for 62 years and Local #264. Fishing was his life. Survived by his lovely wife, Betty of 45 years and step-son Gerald (Jean) Wockenfuss of Ixonia, WI. Proud grandpa to Aaron (Rebecca) Wockenfuss of West Allis and Ashley (Joe) Stephany, and baby of Fond du lac, WI. Further survived by 1 nephew, Michael Carlson of Las Vegas; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a host of carpenter brothers and fishing buddies Dennis, Dave and Murphy. Preceded in death by brother, Clarence Knutson and sister, June Carlson.Visitation at the Funeral Home Wed., September 29, 4-8PM, and also on Thurs., September 30, 9-11AM.
