Ellen (Tylicki) Ball, age 75, of Waukesha, died Thursday evening, December 5, 2024 surrounded by her closest loved ones. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 5, 1949 to the late Alice and Norbert Tylicki, and is preceded in death by her brother David (Marie) Tylicki.
Ellen is survived by her husband, James (Jim), her daughter Lauren (Brown) Becker and son-in-law Chris, along with beloved granddaughter Alice, and step daughter Rebecca (Ball) Crary and granddaughters Isabella and Hazel, sister Jane (John) Winninger, twin brother John (Lynn) Tylicki, as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends who looked forward to a good story or lighthearted laugh.
Ellen taught at Auer Avenue School for more than 25 years, at which time she formed tight-knit bonds with a community of teachers that continued up to her death. She loved to travel the world, cheer on the Badgers, and her dogs Fozzie, Oskar, and Tiger were each loved beyond measure. She donated regularly to the Wisconsin Humane Society, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, and the ASPCA – to honor this, the family asks for donations to any of these charities in lieu of flowers.
A service to celebrate Ellen’s life will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. A gathering will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM.
