Elaine J. Lemke (nee Rahn) was called home by her heavenly father on December 20, 2022 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Alfred (Bill) Lemke, Jr. Loving mother of Lance and Terri (Joseph) Kau. Proud grandmother of Dr. Trina Steffen (Darren Ahlgren). Adored great-grandmother of Theodore. Also survived by dear relatives and friends, and her loyal chihuahua, Cha Cha.

Elaine spent most of her adult life working alongside her husband, Bill, at the family’s restaurant. After Bill passed in 2007, Elaine devoted her time to volunteering in her community and church. This brought her so much joy. She also shared her love and faith in God through poetry.

 

Fall

Fall reminds me of the cycle of life

the beauty of the season

Youth

the leaves begin to fade in color

Middle Age

the leaves begin to turn dry and brittle

Old Age

the leaves begin to fall upon the ground,

being buried under new fallen snow

Death

just as God makes everything new

so it will be for you and me on the day

of the Lord, where we will receive new

glorious bodies, and we will

live with him forevermore.
