Edward H. “Coach” Stech

Born on November 19, 1929 in Omaha Nebraska, passed away March 23, 2015. Son of the late Edward H. and Barbara Stech, brother of the late F. Gene Stech. Uncle of Kathrine and Ronald Berry of Eugene, Oregon. Friend of Tom and Donna Benvenuto, Dave and Barb Van Duser. Survived by other nieces, their families and friends. Ed began his teaching career at Omaha North High School before moving to Wisconsin in 1956. He taught Social Studies at West Allis Central High School until 1985 also coaching wrestling from 1956 until 2015. Founding member of the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association and WIAA. A Charter Member of the Wisconsin George Martin Amateur Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was a founder and manager for the West Allis/E.H. Stech Wrestling Tournament and on-site coordinator of the Wisconsin State Wrestling Tournament.

Visitation at the Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, Friday March 27, 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral Service Saturday March 28, 10:00 AM at Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church, 2366 North 80th Street, Wauwatosa. Private Interment.
