A creative thinker who made do with whatever was available. Installed every appliance he ever bought, including the furnace. Almost completely refurbished their previous home of 43 years. Life-long gardener; friendly; generous with time and talent. A machinist at A.O. Smith for 37 years. He was part of a team that made a prototype for a Corvette frame.Age 89. Beloved husband of Marion G. (nee Arndt) for 26 days short of 63 years; Father of Phyllis (Ken) Hubatch and Sandy (Dave) Smith; grandfather of Melissa Hubatch; brother of Hilda Mueller of Abbotsford, WI, Larry (Irene) Bluhm of Aurora, IL, Herbert (Donna) Bluhm of Marshfield, WI and Lorraine Speck of Myrtle, MS. Three brothers and two sisters precede him in death. Will be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Celebration of Ed's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 5, at 12:45 PM. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM.
