Was peacefully received by the Lord on March 12, 2016, surrounded by family in his own home at the age of 83.
He was born to the late Bernard and Janet, and preceded in death by his dear older sister Dorie.
Bernie is survived by his loving wife Ann (nee Walter) of 57 wonderful years, and his five children, Mary (Kirsten), Katie, Monica Heinrich, Joe (Virginia), and Maggie Dodd, and his grandchildren Rachel Muck, Theresa (who greeted her grandpa in Heaven), Toby Heinrich, Bernie, Anna Heinrich, Christina Dodd, Jessica, and Lannon, along with countless other family and friends who were truly blessed to have known him.
Bernie lived his life devoted to the Word of God, his family, and his friends. He loved Jesus, sunshine, and Cream Sherry. He touched the lives of many people with his smile, laughter, generosity, and his proctologist sense of humor.
Please join our family in celebration of his life with a visitation on Thursday evening, March 17, from 4:00pm until the praying of the Rosary at 7:00pm, at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin.
Visitation at 9:00am Friday March 18 at Holy Apostles Catholic Parish, 16000 West National Avenue, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Bernie's faith, love, and admiration of those in religious life, memorials can be made to the Jesuit Partnership of Milwaukee or St. Francis Seminary.
