Passed away peacefully on May 10, 2014, at the age of 83. Devoted husband of Vera (nee Shuty), for 59 years. Loving father of Bob (Joey), Mike (Judy), Kae (Jeff) Shober, and Lisa (Paul) Grubor. Grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also loved by other relatives and friends.

Doug proudly served his country during the Korean War. He loved camping with his family throughout the United States. Doug was originally from Calumet, MI and still has many friends there.

Visitation at MARY QUEEN OF HEAVEN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2322 South 106th Street, West Allis, on Thursday, May 15, from 4:00-6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 PM. Burial at Lakeview Cemetery in Calumet, MI on Saturday, May 17, at 1:00 PM.
