Donald W. Tews

Passed away peacefully on December 18, 2008, at the age of 79. Dear father of Thomas (Patricia Morrissey), Timothy (Katy Juneau-Tews), Starlight (Steven Walsten), Jeffrey (Lori), Robert and Susan. Loving grandpa of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Further survived by his brother, Michael (Marian). Don was a resourceful problem solver in all parts of his life. He loved nature, camping, fishing, and organic gardening. He was a volunteer at Family Services, an artist, Cub Scout master and block watch captain. Don worked many years as a Milwaukee Local 18 union sheet metal worker, where his impeccable work ethic rarely allowed him to miss a day's work. The family wishes to send our deepest thanks and sincere gratitude to the wonderful people at Maple Ridge Health and Rehab, and Heartland Hospice. A celebration of Don's life will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday January 3, 2009, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Habitat for Humanity are appreciated.
