Don was a proud business owner of Don’s Silk Screening and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was also involved in the Dummkopf Club, Tri Corners Square Dance Club, the Milwaukee Harmonica Club, and the Thursday Cribbage Group at the Village at Manor Park. When Don wasn’t busy, he could be found fishing or teaching others how to play the harmonica. His children would tell you that he always had a joke or story to tell. In fact, his last joke was “Why are frogs so happy?”. The punchline was, “They can eat whatever bugs them!”
