Derrick Lemont Clark

Derrick Lemont Clark was born to Randall and Billie Jean (Warren) Clark on July24^th​ ^​, 1961 in North Chicago, Illinois. He received his formal education from North Chicago High School where he graduated and was a proud member of ROTC. Derrick immediately enlisted in the United States Armed Services (ARMY) where he proudly served from 1979 to 1983 as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic and was honorably discharged.

Derrick accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was united with Mount Sinai Baptist Church in North Chicago, Illinois and served on the Sunshine Band. Derrick met the love of his life, affectionately known as Honey and on October 7^th​ ^​, 1997, he and Debora were united in Holy Matrimony in Waukegan, Illinois.

Derrick continued as a skilled mechanic at several companies and often helped close family and friends with their car repairs. In his leisure, Derrick enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, fishing and boating. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominos and catering to his family. He was widely known as a Champion on the grill and has many trophies and awards to show for it! He was a notable and valued member of the Midwest Crappie Hunters Club and The Intercity Sportsman Club.

Derrick retired in 2001 to care for and spend time with his wife and family. They frequently enjoyed camping at their summer home in Northern Wisconsin where he would fish for days and listen to good “ole school” music.

Derrick departed this life on December 23^rd​ ^​, 2020. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother “Momma” Pearl Warren; his father Randall Clark and his sister Robin Jones. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Debora, sons

His Mother Billie Jean Clark, and brother Randall Clark Jr. of North Chicago, Ill. 2 Uncles Gerald Clark and Frank Warren; 1 Aunt Barbara Martin, 1 nephew Roderick Clark, 1 neice Britney Pope and 8 grandchildren, Naveah, KJ, Gianna, Laiya, Krew, Kenslie, Miles, and Remmington.
