David A. Dittmar
Milwaukee- Passed away after a hard-fought battle with esophageal cancer on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the age of 68.
Preceded in death by his father Elmer Dittmar. Dear son of Doris Dittmar. Lifelong husband of Dawn Dittmar, loving father of 3 daughters, Kimberly (Dittmar) Ipsa (spouse Christopher), Christine Dittmar (spouse Kendrick Ellis), and Mary Dittmar. Proud grandpa of Kendra, Bella, Noah, Nathan, Nicholas and Riley. Cherished great grandpa of Karmyn. Dear brother of Deborah (Dittmar) Jaeger (spouse Larry) and James Dittmar (spouse Christine), Jeff Dittmar (cousin, loved like a brother). Further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
David graduated from Siloah Lutheran Grade School, where he was baptized and confirmed, Wisconsin Lutheran Highschool and later MATC with his Associate’s Degree. He worked as an engineer for Shorewood Highschool and Milwaukee Public Schools. David more recently worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer where he just celebrated his 25th anniversary with the company.
David had a strong faith and was active in the Senior Choir at Siloah Lutheran Church. He also served on the school board at Siloah Lutheran School for over 30 years.
David enjoyed many happy years on vacation with his family at the cottages in Kiel and Minocqua, Wisconsin. He was passionate about fishing and wanted to keep every fish we caught!
Visitation from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, followed by a service at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Siloah Lutheran Church, 3721 North 21st Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
