Donate HereDale Walter Schrank “Coach Dale” was promoted to Eternal Life on November 14, 2021 at the age of 68. Dale was born in Milwaukee on June 2nd, 1953. Dale was a man of authentic faith and joy who told everyone about the peace and salvation he found in the Lord Jesus Christ. Dale worked as a professional swim coach for more than 50 years in the Southwest Milwaukee and Waukesha communities, including coaching the girls’ and boys’ swim teams at his alma mater, Greenfield High School. Dale brought his school teams to championships and state records, and founded SWAT, the Southwest Aquatic Team, through which he taught thousands of kids to be safe in the water and develop their own love for the sport. No one who encountered Dale remained a stranger. His complete lack of shyness along with his joy and love for life energized conversations with whoever happened to be around, and he never stopped talking about his Savior, telling tales of outstanding swims and competitions, and bragging about his family.
Dale is survived by his spouse Melody (nee Wolczewski) of 46 years, his daughters Wendy (David) Pearson and Jill (Joe) Easton, his grandchildren Grace, Reagan, Cole and Reece, his sister Barbara and brothers Mark and Lee. He is further survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Fox River Church-Muskego Campus, S67 W19491 Tans Drive, Muskego, Wisconsin 53150 on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. A short service will follow at 5:00 PM.
