I am so sorry for your loss. I feel so blessed to have been friends with Chris. She was the most amazing, caring hospice nurse. I was so nervous when I started my first hospice job at Ruth Hospice. But I met Chris and she took me under her wing and walked me through everything. She was so kind and patient and taught me so many valuable things that aren't found in a textbook. She truly cared about helping patients die with dignity. It was such a privilege working with her, learning from her and being her friend. She has touched so many lives. Even when she could not work any longer as a nurse, she was always doing "nursing" things for people, making sure they eat, giving advice, always assessing :) She truly spent her whole life helping and serving others. I am so happy she is no longer suffering and can finally reunite with her son, but she will be so greatly missed !!

As a former DSHA classmate and friend, I am greatly saddened to hear of Christine’s passing. I will always remember her warm smile and how much she genuinely cared about people. Wonderful that she chose to share these special gifts with so many as as a hospice nurse. Truly a shining bright star among us; now living on forever in so many hearts.
