Tom Pirelli left a message on February 14, 2023:
Papa Ray used to bring Chris to my Princeton rugby games when he was just 4-5 years old. After each game, all Chris wanted to do is play tackle rugby with me and some of my teammates. Sometimes we accidentally tackled him a bit too hard but he always just got up laughing. Always a tough kid with a smile on his face. Chris had a lot of struggles in his life but he overcame them. At one point he was going to join the Marine Corps but he was 15 pounds overweight for his height. He was given two weeks to lose that weight. I offered to have him stay with us and I would work out with him every day until he lost the weight. Chris did it and lost exactly 15 pounds. Unfortunately, so did I and I did not need to lose the 15 pounds! After all that, he was disqualified for a different medical reason and we were both greatly disappointed. Chris was loved by all of us and he will be missed. -Tom Pirelli
