Rest in peace my dear friend. Knowing Cheryl was one of the greatest pleasures of my life. Cheryl and I met when we decided to be roommates at UWO. I had lost track of Cheryl and Jim, but when I retired from the Navy in 1994 and returned to Princeton WI she tracked me down and we spent many hours catching up. I will always remember her voice on the phone when she called each year to wish me a Happy Veterans Day! No one was every as consistent as she. She never missed a year. I followed her fight with cancer from it's inception until her passing. You suffered for so many years my friend. I always told her I could NEVER have done likewise. Through it all she unselfishly thought of Jim. It was her wish to outlive him so he wouldn't be all alone. Although I know you are not in pain anymore and are with God in Heaven, I miss you dearly. May God Bless and Keep You in the palm of his hands. Until I see you once again.....All my Love

When I was the Volunteer Coordinator for the Master Gardener program from 2004-2011, Cheryl was my most loyal volunteer. Soft-spoken, dependable, never made a mistake. We happily worked together for hours putting together the binders for the classes. During that time we got to know each other and developed a friendship that continued after I left that job. Her courage with fighting cancer helped me when I had my own journey. I loved talking with her, hearing about the river house, her rabbit, her life, and she always was interested in my life as well. I knew this day would come, but it came too soon. I will miss hearing her sweet voice. A gentle soul and a genuinely good person, that was Cheryl. Rest in peace, my sweet friend.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
