Our beloved Charlie Chong Vang, 35, of Madison, entered eternal life on September 15, 2021, after a long battle with cancer.
Charlie was born on October 02, 1985, in Merced, California to WahCher Vang and Kou Vang, and was baptized into the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church. He was the third oldest of seven children. On June 22, 2019, he was united in matrimony to Becky Lo.
Charlie attended and graduated from Rufus King High School and UW-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in Information Studies. He built his dream career in Information Technology as a Software Asset Manager.
Charlie was a resilient, compassionate, and optimistic individual. A gentle giant with a sturdy physique, formerly known as “The Wall,” during his flag football endeavors. He was a man who loved and honored his family and dear friends. Filled with kindness, he always saw the very best version in others. His contagious laughter, tear-inducing humor, and positive character illuminated those around him. He will always be in our minds and forever in our hearts.
Charlie is survived by his cherished wife Becky Lo; wonderful parents WahCher Vang and Kou Vang; brothers Jerry Vang and Bruce Vang; sisters Dora Quinnt, Laura Moua, Mary Vang and Wendy Vang; sister-in-law Pa Her; brother-in-laws Victor Quinnt and Yaosoua Moua; nephews Yohan Moua, Jonathan Vang and Yakov Moua; nieces Mana Moua, Maryella Quinnt and Lilyanna Quinnt; and a host of devoted uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7301 West Nash Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
