Passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 24, 2013. Age 78. In Charles's own words:"I was born into this life, June 21, 1934. Into what was to be a life of much uncertainty and despair. By the age of one I had neither a mother or father, that's where the uncertainty comes in. I was moved from the only real mother I knew who was a very loving aunt. Thanks to the Milwaukee County Courts and their infinite wisdom and total ignorance. I spent the early years of my life in the county orphanage and foster homes. My life took a turn for the better in 1956 when I met the most wonderful girl ever, Marlene M. Schweiss (nee Habenicht), who one year later was to become my wife. She would precede me in death after thirty seven wonderful years, in fact the best years of my life and ours. This loving women, was to further and enhance my troubled life when she presented to me three wonderful sons, Charles Jr. (Susan), Steven (Karen) and the late Jonathan (Christy) and six beautiful grandchildren Erik, Sarah, Kelly (Karl) Griffiths, Kevin, Julie and Jill. So in the end, it was worth all despair."Visitation at the Funeral Home, Sunday, January 27 from 1:00"3:00 PM. Graveside committal at Pinelawn Memorial Park on Monday, January 28 at 10:30 AM. Chuck's family is proud of his service to our country and his family.
