Charles K. Matsumoto

Passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 7th, 2012, age 91. Caring husband of the late Elva (ne Shinozaki). Loving father of Robin and Scott (Elizabeth) Matsumoto. Proud grandfather of Katharine and Rebecca Matsumoto. Dear brother of Jayne (Steve) Matsuda, Naoe Ishii, Matsuno Kaohi, and Asano Suizu, and Raymond (Shirley) Matsumoto. Also loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Charles was born on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, and graduated from Kauai High School in Lihue. He joined a family-owned plumbing business in Honolulu as an apprentice. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army as part of the Military Intelligence Service. After WWII, he attended and graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering. He worked for many years as an independent plumber and retired after a long career as a plan examiner for the City of Milwaukee.A Memorial Gathering will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Sunday, February 26th at the Funeral Home. Memorial Service at 2:30 PM. He will be buried at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Cemetery.
