Charles Henry Doering, Jr.

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at age 92. Loving husband of Marion (nee Lang) of 68 years. Beloved father of James (Marti) Doering and Susan (Marvin) Spenneberg. Proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren and of 6 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of the late William (Evelyn) and brother in law of Ruth. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by grandsons Aaron and Matt.

Charles proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II and took part in the US Honor Flight. He was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran church serving as Financial Secretary for 50 plus years.

Visitation will be at ST. JOHN'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5500 West Greenfield Avenue, on Sunday, October 11 at 2PM until time of service at 3:30 PM. Private burial at Highland Memorial Park. Memorials appreciated to the church.
