Passed away peacefully the morning of October 17th, 2024, at the age of 80. She was a loving and devoted wife of 22 years to James. She was a caring mother and mother-in-law to Brent and Lisa. An adoring grandmother to Adam, Evan, and Lea. A loving sister to Janet, Gail and Carol Kay. And beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha Denton, and brothers, John, Allen, and Patrick, and sister, Val.
Cassandra (Sandy) was born and raised in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, but lived most of her life in the Milwaukee area, near her sister Carol Kay, with whom she shared a special bond throughout her life. Cassandra enjoyed beading jewelry, particularly bracelets. She relished giving them away to family, friends, and acquaintances for whom she wished to share her appreciation. She loved her family and always looked forward to attending the annual Denton family picnic. Cassandra was very proud of her three grandchildren, which she spoiled whenever given the opportunity. She was an avid shopper and never missed the opportunity to go to Kohls or St. Vincent DePaul (“Vinnys”). Cassandra’s greatest joy in life, however, came from the love she shared with her devoted husband, James (Jimmy). She cherished spending time with him, walking to Pewaukee Lake for sunsets, visiting family, spending winters in warmer locations, and traveling to new destinations. Together, they shared the joy of living.
Cassandra will be deeply missed by all she touched in life.
The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Kirkland Crossings who provided her with such compassionate care during the last year of her life.
