Age 71, of Milwaukee, died peacefully on September 14, 2015.
Carl Tavela, the son of Ernest and Elsie Tavela, was born March 24, 1944, in Laurium, MI. Carl spent his youth in Ahmeek, MI. After high school, Carl enlisted in the Navy and spent 4 years at service during the Vietnam War (1962-1966). He then was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 200, working for various grocery food suppliers. Carl enjoyed retirement and spent his time working for the Milwaukee Admirals, bike riding, attending his granddaughter's activities, and going out to eat with his many close friends.
His family meant everything to him. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Dan (Janelle) Tavela and granddaughter, Adeline Tavela of Franklin WI; brother, Ernie (Sandy) Tavela; niece Christine (Mike) Givens and their daughters Grace and Tessa; and nephew Eric (Ellen) Tavela.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bob Tavela.
