(nee Steller), of Germantown, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2010. She joined her beloved husband, the late Richard F. Flor, Sr., whom she married on September 30, 1947 on the 25th Wedding Anniversary of her parents, Gladys M. (Goron) and Leroy O. Steller. Mother of Richard F. Flor, Jr. of Bozeman, MT, and JoEllen J. (Flor) Guenther (Robert, Jr.) of Hartford, WI. She cherished her four grandchildren, Katharine Ellen Voelker (Shaun), Robert Charles Guenther III, Ian Gibeau Dahlen Flor, and Astraia Marie Dahlen Flor. Will be sadly missed by sister Jeanne M. Syarto (Robert), nephew Mark Syarto, and many dear and life-long friends. Betty spent the past 25 years in Germantown, but was a long-time resident of Whitefish Bay where she spent many of the best years of her life, and where she was an active member of the United Methodist Church. Graduate of Custer High School, Class of 1941, and attended UW-Milwaukee. She worked in her family's business, Steller's Jewelers, for many years, and was a successful Real Estate Broker later in her life. She was a long-time member of the Snobirds Snowmobile Club and Daniel Boone Conservation League. Betty loved spending time on the shores of Lake Michigan with family and friends, where she enjoyed reading and observing the varied moods and seasons of the Lake. Family welcomes letters from those who knew and loved Betty, sharing stories of her life and remembrances, in care of Krause Funeral Home. Donations in her memory may be sent to the Washington County Humane Society or Interfaith Caregivers, West Bend. At her request, no services will be held.
