Barbara “Barb” Anne Storck (nee Stanz) – Passed away peacefully on March 9, 2023 at the age of 90.
Devoted mother of Steve (Patty) Storck, Susan Martin, and Rick (Wendy Schulteis) Storck. Proud grandmother of Lauren Storck, Amanda Marie Storck, and Cameron Martin. Preceded in death by husband Phillip H. Storck, parents Harry E. and Anne Stanz, and brother Harry Stanz. Jr.
Barbara was born on April 2, 1932 to Harry E. and Anne Stanz of Fox Point. She attended Shorewood High School, graduating in 1950 and then went on to earn an associates degree from Stephen’s College in Columbia, Missouri in 1952. She met Phillip H. Storck, of Slinger, and they were married in the summer of 1952. Phillip and Barbara raised three children, Steve, Susan and Rick in Menomonee Falls, WI. They also spent summers at their lake home on Rest Lake in Manitowish Waters.
Barb had several jobs over the years. Her favorite was working with children in daycare settings. Barb loved crafts. She enjoyed working outdoors. She loved a good brandy old fashioned sweet, with olives, of course! Barb’s greatest love was her love for her family. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She was always there to give advice and provide support.
Barb spent her later years at Serenity Villa in Slinger where she made many friends of both the residents and staff. A very special thank you to the staff at Horizon Hospice and especially Serenity Villa for all of the loving care they provided for Barbara.
Visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, followed by a Service at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Private Burial at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon, Wisconsin.
