Answered the Lord's calling Monday, September 27, 2010, age 67. Preceded in death by his parents, Gus Harris and Clara Bure (nee Daniels) and brother, Frank Harris. Devoted husband of Billie J. Harris. Dear father of Christopher Harris, Lekesha Starks and Marvin (Katherine) Ward. Proud grandfather of Kevin, Keshaun and Kolby. Beloved brother of Lenzie (Betty), Roosevelt, Victoria (the late Bobby) Eggleston and Josephine Buffinton. Further survived by nieces, nephews, many church members and friends.Visitation at the Funeral Home Friday, October 1, 5-7 PM. Funeral Service at Risen Savior Luther Church, 9550 W. Brown Deer Rd., Saturday at 10:30 AM. Procession to Graceland Cemetery. Memorials to American Cancer Society are appreciated.Gus had a long career in education. He taught at many MPS schools and retired from Andrew Douglas Middle School as an assistant principal. After retirement, Gus worked part-time at the Parklawn YMCA.You will always be a part of our lives.
