Arthur L. Schmidt

(A.L. Schmidt) Died peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on October 21, 2013, age 96. Beloved husband of the late Leone (nee Prokop) for almost 66 years. Loving dad of Robert (Renea Barrett) Schmidt and Carol (Ralph Tatman) Schmidt. Dear half-brother of Lucille (the late Albert) Sudbrink and Alvin (Donna) Dowe. Special cousin of the late Theodore Hertel, Sr. Arthur owned a camera shop and was a wedding photographer of over 500 weddings. He worked for Kalmbach Publishing Co. as staff photographer for Model Railroader and other magazines from 1951-1993. Art had a lifelong hobby of building and flying radio control model airplanes. He mentored many other enthusiasts through the years. He was a member of the RAMS R/C Club. Over the years he enjoyed his Piper Cub airplane, his sailboat and his many Harleys. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Nadia Moussavi and the management and staff at LindenGrove-New Berlin for the loving care they gave Dad.

Visitation at the Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, Friday, October 25, 9:30-11:45 AM. Service 12 Noon. Entombment at St. Adalbert.
