Passed away peacefully guided by the Lord on Monday, December 19, 2016, at the age of 94. Loving husband of the late Emily (nee Drzewiecki). Loving dad of Kathleen (Thomas) Matrise. Beloved grandfather of Amii (Andrew) LaPointe and Eric (Blake Ewing) Perea. Great-grandfather of Aiden Arthur and Abigail Alene. Also loved by other caring relatives and friends.
Arthur was a WWII US Army veteran in the European Theater and the recipient of the Purple Heart, 3 Battle Stars, and the Legion of Honor medal from the French Government. He earned the rank of Second Lieutenant. Arthur graduated from Michigan Tech University in Houghton, MI with an electrical engineering degree. As an engineer, he worked on the Apollo Space Program navigation system at Delco Electronics and later managed the metallurgy lab at Webster Electric. His final career retirement was from Webster Electric Sta-Rite Industries, Racine.
Visitation at St. John The Evangelist Parish, 8500 West Cold Spring Road, on Thursday, December 22, 2016, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon. Burial at St. Adalbert Cemetery to follow.
