She was the daughter of Felix and Louise Hooks, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Hooks, and her longtime love, Henry Chaney. Annie loved to cook and sew. She was a professional chef and everyone loved her cooking. She loved everyone the best way she could and enjoyed being with family. She leaves Mary Jackson and Jesse Bilal to treasure her memory. She also remains in the hearts of her two sisters, Callie (Tom) Durrah and Betty Ramsey, and the following grandchildren: Arnetta Hooks, Cynthia McPherson-Davis, Gene Hooks, Jr. , Celeste (Edwin) Ochonogor, DeMar Hooks, Fred (Tasha) Hopkins, Jr., Jesse Hopkins, David McPherson, Solomon Jackson, Hanann Bilal, Tanina (Jones) Bibbs, and Whitney Young. She is also cherished by several great-grandchildren and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
