Agnes “Aggi” Helen Thurner

Reunited with her husband, Maximilian on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, age 86. Loving Mom of Leonard (Sue) Wegner. Step-Mom of Mark (Jackie) Thurner, Karen Daoust, Kristine (Tim) Mannchen, and Kathy (Kelvin) Johnson. Proud grandma of 10 grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren and proud great-grandma of 18. Cherished sister of Frieda Oelrich and Julius (Gerri) Kaulfuerst. Preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Wegner, siblings, Leila Maurotz, John (Judy) Kaulfuerst, Bernice Kaulfuerst, Leonard, and Joseph Kaulfuerst.

Aggi held several occupations in administration and hospitably. Her hobbies were writing and Square dancing. She wrote poetry, short stories, and songs. Her work has been published locally and Nationally. She is known for her book “Square Dancing in Wisconsin”, a history for the 15^th anniversary of the Square Dance Association of Wisconsin (SDAW). She held many chairmanships in shows, idea showcases, and Square Dance promotion. She organized and was a member of the first Caller/leader Hall of Fame in the Southeast area of Wisconsin (SEA) and in 2017 was inducted into the SDAW Dancers Hall of Fame.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, on Friday, May 28, 2021, from 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM. Funeral Service at 3:00 PM.
