Adrian William McCarthy, affectionately known as “The Kludge Master,” passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, at the age of 77, with his devoted wife by his side.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Adrian was the son of William J. McCarthy and Mollie Zavodnik. He retired in 2013 from the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility and proudly served his country in Korea.

Adrian was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Christeen “Sissy” Heald. He is survived by his loving wife, Annette McCarthy and her children, his nephew Ronald McCarthy (Dawn), Ileah McCarthy, Steven Heald, and Robert Heald; and many extended family members and friends.

Known for his deep devotion to family and his boundless kindness, Adrian had a special place in his heart for all living creatures—there wasn’t an animal he wouldn’t feed. His presence will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.
