With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Aaron Edward Coy, who was born on April 5, 1971, in Madison, Wisconsin and departed from us suddenly and unexpectedly due to cardiac arrest on April 26, 2024, at the age of 53.
Aaron leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, cherished by his devoted wife KerryAnn, his son Aidan, and daughter Alexis. He is also survived by his sisters Stephanie (Jeff), Jorie (Glen) Wiley, Tiffany (Eric) Anderson, brother Ryan, and his father Stephen (Blythe). Aaron was preceded in death by his beloved mother Sandra (Eakin) Coy. Additionally, he will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.
Throughout his life, Aaron was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, owning and nurturing numerous small businesses. Among his ventures were Lumber Axe Whiskey Bar & Grill in Ft. Myers, FL; Lumber Axe and Krazy Golf in Waukesha, WI, Lumber Axe and Escape Chambers in Des Moines, IA and AKA Tactical Laser Tag in Oconomowoc, WI and Des Moines, IA.
Aaron’s legacy extends beyond his professional achievements. He will be remembered for his boundless kindness, unwavering generosity, and passion for his work. His zest for adventure and profound love for his family, as well as his cherished dogs, Luci and Chloe, will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to the Aaron Coy Entrepreneurship Foundation, which has been established to honor Aaron’s memory and support aspiring entrepreneurs.
Visitation and Services at Elmbrook Church Chapel, 777 Barker Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Friday, May 3, 2024. Visitation begins at 2:00 PM and services at 3:00 PM. Celebration of life with drinks and dinner to follow at 5:00 PM at Lumber Axe, 831 North Grand Avenue, Waukesha, Wisconsin.
