Allan “Butch” Koch passed away in his sleep after a long battle with dementia on December 20, 2020. Born in Pittsfield, MA in August of 1946, he moved with his family to Wisconsin. Growing up, he was a boxer, wrestler, and football player going on to graduate with honors from UW Madison with a degree in engineering. Allan spent his career as an engineer, project manager, and construction executive both in Wisconsin as well as in a number of countries abroad.
Allan is survived by his sons; Matthew (Melanie) and Chris, three grandchildren Michael, Meadow, and Madeline; and his brother Craig (Marie) and their children Monica, Eric, and Meredith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lee Ann (nee Krasinski), and parents, Alfred and Shirley Koch. Allan believed in the value of hard work and education, was both kind and courageous, and enjoyed good music, great food, and laughter.
A remembrance will be held later next year.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.
